Trustee Max is raising money by living on £1 a day for 5 days and then running a half Marathon!
Max Stanford, one of our trustees, will live below the poverty line for 5 days to highlight the hardship that those in poverty in London and around the world have to live with every day of their lives. Max will have to survive on only £1 a day for food, drink only water and use no public transport from 4th – 8th May.
To add to this challenge, Max will then run the Hackney Half Marathon on 10th May with a target time of 1 hour 30 minutes. Max will be raising money for the Pimlico Toy Library during these two events so please support him however you can, whether by donating or spreading the word.
Max says, “Becoming a trustee of Pimlico Toy Library has had a massive impact on me. Seeing how dedicated Maggie and Shelia are and how much the Library’s play sessions helps children and their parents increase their confidence, learn new skills and develop in such a nurturing environment has really touched me. So I thought why not test myself to do two difficult challenges one after the other for Pimlico Toy Library, a place that really means a lot to me and where I know what I raise will give much needed funds for the Library”.
